How to enter the Persimmon Queen Contest
Being a Persimmon Festival Queen is a great honor!
Plus, there’s an opportunity to win cash prizes, gift certificates and more!

Entry Fee — $50
Pick up an application at the Mitchell Chamber Office from July 27 – August 7.

2026 Persimmon Festival Queen Application
Please fill out the following form as you wish it to appear for your biography and/or in social media postings.
Submit a color wallet size photograph of yourself. The picture should be clear. Vertical school-like headshots work the best.
Entry fee is $50.00 paid either by self or a corporate sponsor. We encourage you to have a sponsor but not required.
Please make checks payable to the Persimmon Festival Committee.
Please return form Aug 7th 4:00-6:00 pm at Mitchell Chamber office with entry fee.
Informational meeting: Aug 11th @ 6:00 Solution Center (door 8) 1490 W Main St. (if you are unavailable, please send a family member to take your place)

This pageant age group is for Grades 9-12. Contestants must attend a Lawrence County high school and have a clean disciplinary record for current year
Judging Date: September 20th @ 3PM
Crowning: September 21st @ 7PM
Practice Dates: September 14th & September 17th @ 6:00 at the MHS Auditorium. Saturday September 19th @ 9AM . Bring the shoes you will wear during the judging process.

2026 Mini, Little, and Jr Miss Persimmon Queen Application
All contestants must be enrolled in a Lawrence County School. Former Queens are ineligible for the categories they have already won.
Bring this entry form along with one billfold size picture, bio questions and $40.00.
Make checks payable to the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce.
Registration is Friday August 7th: 4-6PM for all age groups at the Mitchell Chamber of Commerce.
Only the first 25 applications in each category will be accepted, for a total of 75 contestants.
I agree to hold harmless the City of Mitchell, the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce, and the Persimmon Festival Committee from all liability should my child incur any injury while practicing and participating in this event.
