Saturday, September 22!

It is becoming a tradition in our community for families to gather their unwanted “treasures” and have yard sales to kick off the first day of the annual Persimmon Festival—would you like to join in? Plan your sale for Saturday, September 22!  For your convenience, the Chamber of Commerce will compile a list of locations that have been phoned or e-mailed to us by Monday, September 18.  The list will be available on Friday, September 21 at the Chamber office, Sixth & Main.  Submit your yard sale information by leaving a phone message:  812-849-4441, or e-mail:  mitchellchamber@frontier.com.  Your message should contain the following:

PIONEER VILLAGE AT SPRING MILL STATE PARK—Saturday, September 22

Time move backward and slows down as Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa, Inc. of Mitchell sponsors its annual Candlelight Tour on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Spring Mill State Park, east of Mitchell on State Road 60 East, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Pioneer crafts, demonstrations and entertainment by many musical groups will be a part of the tour.  Tri Kappa members will sell concession and food items in the Carriage House.
